Service Description
For both the beginner and experienced shooter, and those who have completed "Introductory Rifle", this second class in the rifle series will take you through the basic concepts of rifle shooting and gunnery in a way you've never experienced. Your skills will be enhanced and refined as you find yourself one step closer to becoming a competent marksman. "Basic Rifle" is a 4-hour marksmanship class. The maximum class size is 16 marksmen, allowing for more personalized and productive instruction. The class is held at the Webb River Valley Sportsman Club, located 1 mile down Canton Point Road in Canton. Basic Rifle Topics: - 4 Universal Firearms Safety Rules - Why You Train and Situational Awareness - Range Rules - Weapon Familiarization and Operation - Gunnery Concepts (Zero Theory, Trajectory, & Ballistics) - Shooting Stance and Posture - Weapons Sighting and Zeroing - Trigger Concepts and Shot Anticipation - Ready-Ups - Over the Shoulder, Retention, and SUL - Reloads - Fast and Accurate Shooting -Malfunctions and Stoppages - Target Transitions - Shooting Drills What to Bring to Class: - AR-15 Rifle (If your preferred personal rifle is of a different caliber, please specify prior to the class) - 5 magazines (minimum) - Magazine carrier/pouch - Rifle sling - Ear and eye protection What is Provided: - 200 rounds of 5.56 ammunition (unless other caliber requested) - Targets - Rifle sight adjustment, if needed -Water bottles and snacks
