Service Description
For both the beginner and experienced shooter, this second class in the pistol series will take you through the basic concepts of pistol shooting and gunnery in a way you've never experienced. Your skills will be enhanced and refined as you find yourself one step closer to becoming a competent marksman. "Basic Pistol" is a 4-hour marksmanship class. The maximum class size is 16 marksmen, allowing for more personal and productive instruction. The class is held at the Webb River Valley Sportsman Club, located 1 mile down Canton Point Road in Canton. Basic Pistol Topics: - 4 Universal Firearms Safety Rules -Why You Train and Situational Awareness - Range Rules - Weapon Familiarization and Operation - Gunnery Concepts - Weapons Sighting and Zeroing - Shooting Stance and Posture - Grip and Recoil Management - Trigger Concepts and Shot Anticipation - Instinctive Shooting / Point of Aim - Shooting Fast and Accurate - Draw Stroke - Tactical vs. Emergency Reloads - First Shot on Target - Malfunctions and Stoppages - Shooting Drills What to Bring to Class: - 9mm Pistol (If your preferred personal carry pistol is of a different caliber, please specify prior to the class) - 2 magazines (minimum) - Holster and magazine carrier/pouch - Belt for holster - Ear and eye protection What Is Provided: - 200 rounds of 9mm ammunition (unless other caliber requested) - Targets - Pistol sight adjustment, if needed - Water bottles and snacks
